When you were little, did you ever have mittens with a string attaching them, so that it ran through your sleeve, around your back and down through the other sleeve? I did. It seems a funny thing to have mittens hanging from your cuffs, but it's a pretty genius way to keep your outer wear together!
I thought about these connected mittens and how, when tiny, they'd make a nice bookmark! And so today you can print out a pair and hold your spot in the book you've been reading for ages (for me, it's Uncle Tom's Cabin...I'll finish it eventually!).

Print the mittens onto card stock (there's three different pairs in the PDF) and cut them out. Cut a piece of string, yarn, or whatever you like to hold the mittens together. Consider the size of the book you're likely to use the bookmark with when cutting the string.
Use tape to hold the string to the back of the mittens. I was *this close* to using regular tape and then...thankfully I thought of washi tape. If I had been feeling extra ambitious, I would have cut the tape into heart shapes!
And now you have a pair of mittens ready to hold your place and keep it toasty!
