The vote is in! After much thought, probably to unhealthy extremes......I have finally settled on a color scheme for our living room makeover, aka the Great Room. Sources: Living room| Mini Manor Blog, Yellow Cabinet|Country Living,Lamp|Jonathan Adler, Owl|West Elm, Pillows|Pop O Color, Basket|West Elm, Coffee Table|Walmart, Jute Rug|Overstock.com  Gasp! Can you believe it? No blue! This room is the first thing people see when they enter our home and I want it to be warm & inviting.What better way to do that then with yellow??My biggest source of inspiration for this makeover has been Ashli's stylish living room over at the Mini Manor Blog {seriously I am in LOVE with her whole house}.Her pictures helped convince me to go with the paint color Mourning Dove by Martha Stewart.Our couch color is very similiar to hers and I love how it meshed well with the walls. Everything was patched up and painted a few weeks ago. We ordered the wood floors today and are planning on getting those in before Christmas AND then the fireplace makover.Seriously, I think I am most excited about the fireplace.  I have imagined myself taking a sledge hammer to that thing on more than one occassion.Incase you don't recall, I have mentioned before that it's hunter green and it is like a big square booger that just sits in my living room taunting me.From day one since we moved in I have had a difficult time decorating around an ugly green fireplace.  Seriously......more difficult then ever understanding the reasoning behing electoral votes. Or maybe that's just me.Anywho, can't wait to share it when it's all complete! Doing any makeovers in your house? Anything you'd love to take a sledge hammer to?
