Friday's Dose of Delight
To contact us Click HERE
So I am not even sure if I should be wishing you all a happy holiday weekend now or not? Boooo for smack-dab-in -the-middle-of-the-week-holidays. Whose idea was this anyways? As I always tell the hubby {when I'm disatisfied with some policy or process} "I'm writing to headquarters about this!" Which I never do, except for once to Home Depot, and due to some glitch with their customer service email account they received the same disgruntled email from me five times in ten minutes. This resulted in them giving us a $600ish patio set for free. That and I am pretty sure they thought I was borderline schizophrenic.
But hey I will take anything for free in exhange for being consider cray-cray.
Soooo....onto this week's Dose of Delight; a mini-mini round-up of things that have inspired, thrilled, or delighted me this week.
Old Navy Tribal Skirt
I ADORE this skirt and the girl whose in it is pretty fab too. I made a special trip to Old Navy as soon as I saw Katie from the for Lauren and Lauren blog share her eight dollar steal. Sadly, my local store didn't have any left. I've been obsessed with maxi dresses and skirts for two summers now. The problem? For someone who just barely surpasses the Illinois children's car seat height limit I would have to say long apparel isn't exactly a shorty's best friend. But I'm sure this skirt is the one. Thankfully, Katie found they are still available on-line.
Chevron Picnic Blanket
Waterproof, bold, and fun; this blanket from Sew Natural is perfect for picnics and outside concerts.
Of course my love for chevron will never cease to exist!
Have a delightful weekend!

June: It's a Wrap! I Spent the Whole Month Doing What?
To contact us Click HERE
I've decided I'd like to include monthly wrap-ups here on the bloggity-blog. You know something I can look at around the end of each month to prove to myself that I actually did something besides just pinning away all my dream houses I'll be moving into once Martha Stewart hires me as her replacement. In the mean time, this may give you a chance to catch up on some things you may have missed around here {because I know you have nothing better to do} AND it also gives me the opportunity to share bits & pieces from my other life such as all the paper goodness going on in my stationery shop.
So, incase you missed it:
*We started off the month with a little chemistry lesson.Atomic # 80 DIY here. *I cooked and we all lived to talk about it.* Then I made some dog-gone fun wall art. No seriously, the pups gave it 4 paws up.*I shared some freebies that you should hurry over & download now for all your 4th of July festivies.*The new series, "Blogs I'm Lovin' & You Should Too" started.*And I brought home some ugly, possibly infested chair to makeover.
June was also a busy, busy month for the Delightfully Noted shop!
Just in the knick of time I finished up these royal blue & ivory wedding invites for some friends of ours who are tying the knot in July!
I knew when I first opened up shop that being an invitation designer I would be a small part of family's special moments & celebrations but I never anticipated the stories behind some of my custom orders. Sometimes touching, but also heartbreaking like this custom design for a little girl who was attacked by a dog and had to receive 80 stiches in her face!! What a brave, little cookie.

Then I also worked with one of my favorite customers on some personalized note cards for her to send the love of her life when he deploys for the FOURTH and FINAL time this September.Their "thing" is cupcakes. While he's away overseas he always sends her her favorites from Georgetown Cupcakes so she wants to be able to send him something simple & sweet to remind him of home and the love he has awaiting him. Awww......ain't that some off the charts sweetness?
I'm thinking about adding these to the shop. Whatcha think?
So let's see what July has to bring us, shall we?

Fourth of July: DIY Washi Tape Planter Stakes {You'll Never Look At BBQ The Same Way Again!}
To contact us Click HERE

What do you get when you cross a bbq fork with a roll of washi tape? Why, of course planter stakes, silly.
Looking for some easy planter or garden decor?Pick up some glass votive holders and BBQ forks from your local Dollar Store. After wrapping the bases of the forks with some fun & colorful washi tape (find here)adhere them to the bottoms of your glass candle holders with a dab of E-600 glue.Once dry, place your stakes in your pots or gardens and WALLAH! Instant outdoor decor.
Light the candles at night for a little ambiance {you'll have to imagine these lit at night because apparently taking pics in the dark of a dancing flame is harder than lassoing up a spider.}I also recommend not leaving the candles out during the daytime unless you want a waxy hot mess on your hands, unless you're looking for a free paraffin treatment to soften up those digits then in that case, wax away my friend.
Don't mind that dead grass there in the background. We haven't had rain here since like 1982.
Wishing everyone a delightful 4th of July!!!

Friday's Dose of Delight: It is Friday Right?
To contact us Click HERE
Incase any of you are as utterly confused as I am, today is Friday, that's right it's Friday. But really it's Thursday because I'm posting this a tid bit early so really it's not Friday & we are just going to pretend it's Friday and now your head is about to explode isn't it? You're welcome. And now you know how I have felt all week; head explosivey and all.All of this middle-of-the-week-holiday-shenangans has thrown me for a loop. So before I get myself more confused I'm just going to jump right into this week's Dose of Delight; a mini-mini round-up of things that have inspired, thrilled, or delighted me this week. Beachy Room Makeover
This makeover from Meeha Meeha is the perfect example that you don't need to spend alot of cash to revamp a room. Proof? She spent just $5 buckaroos on paint! Insert girl squeal.You can check out the beautiful details and interior design tips here.
Confetti Rings
I was so intrigued by these rings from Twinkle Bird
when I learned that they are made with real confetti.
You just may find me "cleaning" up after the next party I attend although I have to say this world could use alot more confetti-throwing parties if you ask me.
Hope you all have a delightful weekend!
PS. Because I don't already have enough to do {insert sarcasm} I decided to join Instagram, so if any of you are fellow grammies feel free to leave your username so I canstalk follow you.
In the mean time you can find me here.

Sprucing Up the Porch: $4 Thrift Chair Makeover
To contact us Click HERE
I always dream about having a home with a charming wrap-around porch. You know the type of porch to grow old on. The type where the hubby and I could sit side by side in rocking chairs & complain about our dentures and "kids these days".In the mean time, I have a small porch....just barely big enough for a cheerleader high kick. Not that I would know or anything.
I've been wanting to spruce up our porch with a chair for quite some time now so I was as happy as a clam when I stumbled upon this chair at our local Goodwill.
It was dirty & wobbly though and trust me, falling out of a collapsed chair on my front porch wasn't exactly what I had in mind. But the hubby confirmed it's screws were just loose, which is funny because he says the same thing about me too.Anywho, four bucks later the chair was mine.And after a bath and two coats of white paint it's like a whole new woman.
Or in my humble opinion....it's the shizznizzle. Especially after I added a blue pillow from World Market that I had been eyeing for awhile.
I just love how it compliments the corner of our porch and all in all between the pillow and chair it only cost me $16.Not bad considering there's a similiar wood chair from Target being sold for a few hundred!!I just love me a bargain.
{Note to hubby: We didn't move. I just photoshopped our address to protect us from killer clowns {a true fear of his} & dognappers {a true fear of mine} Aren't we one joyful couple?}
And then because I got a little camera happy while outside you get to enjoy a little tour of my flower pots.

Wasn't that fun?
So what's on your front porch? Flowers, chairs, wreaths?Any thing you'd like to add to your little entry way?

Crush of the Month: Dreamy Garden Sheds {aka Backyard Retreats}
To contact us Click HERE
It should come as no surprise that June's "Crush of the Month" centers around garden sheds....but not just any garden shed; I'm talking dreamy-Ryan Gosling-heart-palpitating type of sheds! I'm not even sure what that means. I just know if there was EVER a day I allowed a shed to be docked in my yard{I know were not talking boats here but I can't type the word "erected" with out giggling like a teenage school boy. I know, geesh, grow up already!} that it will have to look like one of these! Never mind that half of them are like fairy-tale cottages and serve no purpose as a shed. I mean what would be the point of that, right?
